We have launched a Crowdfunder to help us waterproof our outdoor fire kitchen area. This will protect our customers from rain and sun, improve accessibility for everyone and prevent our Fire Chef, Joe Parke, from getting a sunburnt head!
DEVELOPMENTS
In 2021, the School employed its first full time member of staff, Chef Joe Parke. He joined with many skills and a big passion for Fire cookery. Yvette, our Founder and Director, had already built a huge clay oven (on the terrace), as she loves cooking outdoors, the quality of food produced and the wellbeing that comes from the communal cooking and feasting around the fire.
JOE PARKE - CHEF MANAGER YVETTE FARRELL - FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Since taking up the Fire Cooking mantel, Joe has been running monthly seasonal classes, using local suppliers, bringing in Corporate customers and other groups who enjoy and want to learn more about Fire Cookery.
We have even had 20 top executive chefs come to learn about Fire Cooking, along with Marcus Wareing, from MasterChef the Professionals.
We continue in our mission to provide 'Cooking For All' and are looking to increase the accessibility of the Fire Cooking area for wheelchair users and other disabilities too.
Here's why we need you...
Our fire cooking area needs a little makeover to keep up with all the amazing equipment we've added like BBQs, smokers, and fire pits. We're thinking a cosy pergola with a sturdy roof would do the trick, ensuring we can keep bringing 'Cookery For All' to life, rain or shine!
As you see the fire are can appear jumbled when we put up a gazebo to protect the food, staff and customers from the weather.
PLEASE HELP
We are in the midst of an exciting project to enhance our pergola, making it weather-resistant, and we need your support.
Your contribution not only aids us financially but also integrates you into our fire cooking evolution. In appreciation, we offer rewarding incentives. Please help us by spreading the word; we are truly grateful for any support.
There's loads of information on Crowdfunder about why we need our pergola. Please take a look, we'd really love it if you would support us!
